Accommodation in Turin

> Turin tourist attractions
Although the choice is improving, Turin’s hotels have traditionally catered mostly for a business clientele, which means that holidaymakers may find the city’s hotels rather expensive and bland; they tend to be smart four-stars aimed at business travellers. Of course, this does also mean a lot of competition at less busy times, as well as high international standards. Cheaper options are concentrated in the rather unappealing area south-east of the main railway station. Although there are some good deals to be had, lone travellers may be more comfortable paying a bit extra to stay in a central or business-oriented hotel – the places I’ve selected below are, with few exceptions, in or close to the central historic and sightseeing area.
Like most Italian destinations, Turin now also offers bed and breakfast options, ranging from small family-home B&Bs outside the centre for travellers on a budget, to central boutique-style establishments. One feature of accommodation in Turin which differs from other cities is the popularity of rental apartments, and aparthotels. If you are interested in settling into life in the city in an independent apartment with cooking facilities, you’ll find a wide and impressive selection to choose from.
